WASHINGTON – Kica Matos, president of the National Immigration Law Center, issued the following statement after the New York Times reported on the existence of a whistleblower complaint providing facts that contradict a declaration the acting head of the Office of Refugee Resettlement made under oath in LGML v. Noem. 

“This report is deeply concerning and underscores a disturbing pattern of the government misrepresenting pertinent facts in this case. We intend to continue using every legal avenue to advocate on behalf of these vulnerable children.”
